  • Blackberries
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • Ice bath
  • Wood skewers



  1. In a medium pot, add sugar and water and bring to a boil.
  2. Test sugar syrup by dipping a skewer in sugar and then directly into an ice bath.
  3. If it cracks when you bite it, it's ready.
  4. Skewer 2-3 blackberries and dip into the sugar syrup before transferring directly into the ice bath, not letting it touch the bottom of the bowl.
  5. Hold it for 8-10 seconds until set, remove and eat!
